At P1, children in Singapore will be exposed to the concept of times tables starting from 2 and 5. They will be exposed to the concept of grouping and will be solving simple problem sums. In P2, they will learn 3 and 4 times tables.
It is now a good time to start singing the times table songs! They don’t necessarily have to know the concept of timetable, knowing the lyrics itself would give them a great advantage when it is time for them to do problem-solving!
